for me to get above 2.8 I used these settings on my DFI Ultra-D
    300x10=3000
    150 mem divider, ram running at 214 2.5 4 4 10,
Memory, LDT and chipset voltage all up by 0.1V
Needed huge boost in Volts for CPU 1.3v+126% = 1.638, CPUZ = 1.584.

It worried me a lot needing to have sucha big boost in volts up from 2.8 at 1.4V.
I thought it may have been just this chip, but I am thinking otherwise now!
I will need to get round to testing the other 146 I have that is a CABYE 0540FPAW to see if it is any different.
Hope you make it to 3.0Ghz though.

Some of these optys love voltage, but be careful folks Nice to see some getting close to teh magic 300fsb marker.

All the E revision A64s appear to have a point where they need dramatic increases in voltage to remain stable.

My venice can do 2.6GHz with 1.375v, but it takes 1.65v for 2.71GHz.

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My new 2 x 1gb Samsung RAM arrived this morning, installed it and we're all sorted! Currently in at 2.8ghz, RAM running at 180mhz It booted fine at a smaller divider with RAM at 230mhz but I'd rather make sure everything's stable first before I stick with that. I am so glad my problems are sorted, it was an expensive and frustrating couple of weeks Now I just need to sort out a refund for this cr*ppy OCZ RAM...

Still having problems with undervolting - DFI here I come. Don't think there would be any hassle getting 3ghz with better vcore. Stepping is CABYE 0540 FPAW. Need to play with memory timings a bit as well.

Received my 146 from scan today CABYE 0540 FPBW

    just run my first overclocks

System MSI neo2 Plat bios 1.8, x800XT AGP, XP-90 cooling with 120mm Fan on adaptor
2 x 512 Elixier DDR. 500W Budget PSU with 120mm fan-Heavy unit seems well made from scan.

Max so far, probably the best I will get is 2.901 Ghz 46 deg Loaded with pi-fast
time 42.53 (core volts 1.54) divider 166 only two runs

Rock solid at 2.873 Ghz same V Core loaded 47 deg pi fast, super pi many times.

set V Core to 1.58 (Speed fan reading ) not stable past 2.9 Ghz just runs at 50 deg loaded

I'v not tried to find Lower volts yet just went for it

    Idle temps 36 deg

I Would like to get to the magic 3 Ghz but still very happy only just used the xp-90 today

    I think its very good.

Cheers for the links, about to try overclocking properly for the first time. I'm running an ASrock dual SATA2 board, think I'm gunna be limited by the amount of volts I can put through max is 1.45 iirc.

    EDIT: Its a 146 CABYE 0540 FPBW
