To be fair I did not say it will definately kill it, my advice is to get a more reputable make unless you want the psu which is "fine".

Having a psu go on you is not the most pleasant of things. Up to you.

i would say that the issue here is that saying things like "you will most likely kill everything in your brand new pc" and "i think that it is" is not only condescending and immature, but where is your evidence that this PSU is sub-standard? no retailer is going to consciously sell something that is obviously below-standard

^^ My point exactly. Components muck up. And a mucked up psu is very very bad [some brands even have a reputation for frying components].
General advise has always been, go for a reputable dealer.

He's not buying a PSU for £316. He's buying a 7900GX2 (apparently identical to a 7950GX2) AND the Xclio PSU for £316 as a bundle.

So you can't compare whether the Xclio PSU is worth three times as much as a Enermax or whatever. Otherwise yeah, £300+ on a PSU that's from a brand pretty much no one has heard of... I'd agree that seemed risky!

Xclio apparently are identical to Meridian and whoever behind the scenes makes the Xclio PSUs also make Antecs...

God I'm tempted myself but I just don't know if the 7900GX2 is worth it... it's much better than the 7900GT I was thinking of getting but it's a lot dearer overall...
