Yeah, I have recently purchased Nightfall and absolutely loving it, gradually pushing through Factions and have progressed to the mission where you have to kill the Kraken with the charged spear. Really difficult final battle and keep getting killed.
However Nightfall is superb and keep going with it, absolutely loving it so far what I have seen. Playing a Dervish, very different type of character to play, just need to get a few more skills for the old Scythe!
Yup, I still play a fair bit - Nightfall is as fun as Prophecies, and heroes help rather a lot, but Prophecies had the better storyline.

I have a Prophecies lvl 20 Warrior and am stuck at Boreas Seabed, can't kill the Kraken basically. Thinking on the lines of the Heroes to help out.
Do I have to take him over to Nightfall campaign and do the unlock quests for the heroes to actually be able to use them in factions? I'm thinking that is how it works.
As for Nightfall, so far I have done all the missions with Heroes and Henchmen. Found it a lot esier than Factions.
Doing a fair bit of adding runes to my Dervish build to increase damage, some of the skills are great. Keep clearing out the area to the West of the Sunspear hideout as I managed to capture an elite there and it is said that you can get a green scythe known as the Deathbringer. Hoping to get that drop, mind you I have only ever had 1 green item drop and that was for a Necro when Sorrows Furnace first opened. Never had one since though, and what was the point of dropping something that was completely useless to a warrior.
Got a few Purple and Gold drops the other night that had some half decent runes and inscriptions. They have been the first decent drops I have had in a few month now. I think it is because some players are farming so much it means that players like myself can't get anything decent. There have been loads of people on the normal chat channel selling green items for extortionate amounts of cash, also people asking for groups to farm.
Really gets my backup also when you get someone just constantly saying they have an item for sale. Repeating over and over, makes it hard to see when you have legit players looking for groups and help. (Rant over)
Just done the Mission on Nightfall with the Centaurs where you have to kill the taskmasters and free the captives. Also managed to find the evil taskmasters giving me the master award for completion. The only mission I havn't got master on yet was the Latenda Bog one where you had to kill 5 specific creatures. I started to follow the captain for the meet but didn't get a chance to really explore, may give it another shot to see if I can find all of them.
Finally, does anyone know of any attribute point quests on Nightfall? I have reached Lvl 20 now and would like to be able to up my Earth and Mysticism attributes without dropping Scythe mastery down a level or two. I thought getting the Sunspear promotions gave you extra points to spend but unfortunately no (Next sunspear level is Castellan needing 7500 promotion points, got 3000 so far! ).
No attribute points quest in NF as far as I'm aware (only in Prophecies I believe).
The Deathbringer is a great weapon for the Dervish, you have to kill a rather large Bull Bossfor it to drop.
You're right about the unlocking of heroes from different campaign chars.
I tend to turn Local and Trade channel off when there is a few "uberspammers"around, its mainly in Lions Arch, Kaineng Center and Kamadan.....all Capital cities of the 3 continents.

I've just come back to this after not playing for a year. Trying to get a friend into it. He was online in same town but couldnt find each other. I could see him on friends list, Is there an easy way to find each other ???

yep doen that started a guild he has joined still cant seem to find im, might have to read the instructions again, its been a while.
if your in the same town and district, ie english-1 you should be able to see each other :s

Head back and ensure you have done all the Q's there
Missed one or two of the master quests as they are a bit of a pain, think it will be worthwhile revisiting the island and doing them if possible. Believe I have done everything else there though. Ah well it will be easy enough in some of the areas now as all of my unlocked heroes are lvl 20, even the 2 from Tyria and Cantha.

I've done the Factions AP "quest" on my Ritualist without knowing I had done it, ....well after reading this info on attribute points, I realise how I wasn't actually looking for any after the 2 Prophecies AP quests
Scooby, make sure your in the same district, also pressing down Ctrl allows you to see your friends or Alt to see NPC's, while in an Outpost or Town.
While in an Explorable area/Mission/Quest, Ctrl = Baddies, Alt = Goodies (friends, chests and loot drops etc.).

After a bit of digging about I came across some info on the AP quests. On Nightfall you get extra points when you get 100 and 300 Sunspear Promotion points. That was on Wikipedia, they also mention the AP quests in Factions and Prophecies.

Also I bought and installed Guild Wars Prophecies but it says nightfall on the screen was there a free upgrade somewhere along the line ?
