Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

Have to say I'm impressed by what they've done with the new zones in regards to levelling new characters.

I think it was level 54 before I hit a wall where I was a level short for the next zone after doing all quests that weren't bugged. However I've hit 56ish and feel I've hit a wall where the quests all feel the the same again.

While I've not done any raids yet I'm hearing good things about them; Difficult and requires some thought unlike the wolk ones. Whether I finish levelling the new char and do any is a different question though.

Gobo mage that I've been levelling is not in any guild and it strikes me as difficult to join / find a worth-while guild. Unless you know someone already in them there's no real way to identify the good guilds let alone join them. All you see is a guild name on random ppl around the cities and it's not as if epics are rare anymore (ah for the good ole' days of being the only ppl with Might)...

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

I've had a few whispers asking me to join a couple of different ones, but it looks like the usual whisper spam.. Allen mentioned that his guild is pretty friendly, so I might look at that once I've a few more levels under my belt.

The new battle.net site is pretty nifty too - all the good bit of the old armoury site plus quite a few additions, eg this is Isa:

    http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...adrel/advanced

So much info there, it can even suggest upgrades for gear, and lets you know if you're missing an enchant or something - pretty neat

Are haters ever gonna stop hating?

Seriously though, it will die, but not for some time yet. However, I struggle to see how Blizzard will keep the pace going after Cataclysm, so much has changed...

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

Just ding'd 74 tonight (actually pretty much did the whole level by exploring Northrend 100% - flying mounts ftw )

Allen, I've lobbed an application into your guild chap - I've mentioned that it's a social only application, but I'll be available for a bit of carnage once I can get myself sorted out a bit

Just replied to it now. It should be accepted straight away, so next time you're online you'll probably get an invite.

So, Leon, when are you coming back to Arathor?

Well as soon as they allow Heirloom items to be transferred between realms tbh!

I've got my Worgen druid to level 84 now and I'm very appreciative of the new zones (Deepholm & Uldum in particular).

However whilst I'm doing level 85 dungeons/heroics I'm thinking of levelling another character - tempted with a Human hunter as I would like to solo some old world content (other suggestions will be listened to!).

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

    Dirty, filthy Alliance...

Your Druid will be more than capable of solo'ing a lot of old world content, including up to LK 5 man heroics and TBC 10 man raids. However, if you wanna level a char purely for that, then try a DK. Great DPS, great self healing, one of the best "soloists" in the world (Raegwyn) is a DK.

Also, it's a pretty good money maker, although expect that to get nerfed. Soloing Magtheridon for example takes about 20 mins and nets 500g plus drops, can only be done once a week though (shh, I didn't tell you this).

Just re-upped to try out the Goblin and Worg starter zones. Damn but there's a lot of hand-holding for all the newbie now.
