We had one of our best runs in MC i say best, was the third run for ourselves and only wiped once due to a mis judged pull on Geddon where we pulled a lava pack aswell xD lol we managed to take the pack down and just took the wipe after that

Also got my first MC epic

We have quite a flexible looting system in the guild, ofc its DKP based but does not restrict as many classes to certain items as normal, for the staff I got classes that were allow to roll were Druid Warlock Mage Priest and Shaman

Anyone in allowed to bid on an item as long as they can equip it in our system, just requires people to have some common scence in choosing what to bid on.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Is a nice system but we are only on our third successfull MC run so we have to have one or two restrictions to who can and cannot bit on certain items as we need to sort it out slightly class based before we can just start lettin anyone who can use it bid

    The shammy alliance/pally horde thing:

For some people, probably most people, it doesn't matter much as long as the game is fun.

But on the other hand, there is a thing called "suspension of disbelief" which, once broken, just makes you go "oh sod it, this is stupid."

Now I personally never loved the Warcraft lore to begin with, but I can certainly see how, to the old timers, this is "just stupid" - the shammies I can understand, they are from the same culture as the orcs, so why not with drenai. But Blood Elf magic obsessed addicts? Undead I could understand, PURELY from a lore perspective. Just coz they're dead doesn't make them evil etc.

Thats the lore perspective, from my point of view.

In terms of gameplay, I think they should have diverged the sides more, not less - from all directions you look at it. From a player point of view, it adds more to the game (hey I'm bored of Horde, I'll go try a different playstyle alliance side). Ditto keeping subs - more diversity=payers play more, GOOD for the game. Put in more faction specific stuff, not less.

Much as I whinged at the end on how irritating it was to be a druid, the last thing I would have actually wanted would have been being overpowered, or a hunter that can heal...

Without going into the whole hunter whinge

And having only one, new race able to play a pally/shammy will lead to horrible imbalances with loot while new players come into a guild and level and all that - what are you gonna do with 1/9 pally loot in MC until you get someone to level 59?

I've not done any reading up on the subject, but..to me, its insanity. Horde being hard mode is GOOD - it makes the game have broader appeal. Little kids can play alliance and have fun, grownups can play horde and have fun (apologies to any kiddy horde/grown up alliance ).

Meh. I had my fun. And like you say Azog, I left because I was bored, though my excuse probably came across as something else. Games have a lifespan, and I'd reached the end of mine...
    Well Hello!

Bah, being a big Warcraft Lore fan myself I am quite opposed to the blood elves harbouring the powers of the paladin....but oh well. I didn't buy WoW for the lore as that would just have been silly Since Warcraft 3 I keep my thirst for lore sated by reading the many novels out there, especially War of the Ancients which is so far turned out to be a very good read.

All of you heard of the new WC movie in preparation? Forgive me if it's already been mentioned

Yikes Kev, you have the number of hours you've played WoW in your sig. That's far too scary to even contemplate for some of us.

I left WoW about 6 months ago, the PvP and queues for the BG were killing it for me.

I have to admit, I miss it. Has any of this changed now or plans to change it before BC comes out? Since canceling my account I haven't done any reading on the subject whatsoever.

In the next patch, 1.12, which should be with us in 2-3 weeks time. They are brining in cross-server battlegrounds as well as some outdoor pvp in a couple of areas.

That should sort of BG queue times quite a bit
