I am an IT contractor, my current contract is with the NHS where i work as an it officer/pc installer in the large hospitals in my area. wages vary depending on contracts and they are a little lower than i would like, but im hoping that once i have another years experience or so i will be able to find a well paying permanent job. getting £14k a year atm but i dont mind because my current one is flexi-time and its also very interesting.

I don't have a job at present as I'm doing a Masters degree but the last job I had was working for Mitsubishi Electric as a research engineer.

My specialisation was research into image processing, in particular intelligent surveillance systems. It was a pretty cool job. Working for a Japanese company was very interesting (especially the food ) and I got to play with a lot of cool technology. The money was pretty decent too. Problem was that it was in Guildford and even when earning decent money finding somewhere to live was a big problem.

    I'll be joining you then

I work for DWP in a jobcentre as an Admin Assistant. Pay is carp for what you're expected to do, some of the staff "guidelines" are sh*t but some of the other "benefits" are good, like full pay while on 6 months maternity leave (not that most of you will be needing that )
