    order amendment

Hi, just noticed these forums and see that responses via the website can be a little slow some times so thought i would try my luck on here. Invoice number, for reference, is E1654620

I placed an order for a 3XS system on the 18th May, but have since decided that I would like to make some changes to the build. I would like to change the 650w power supply for the Corsair 850w modular power supply. I'd now also like to add 2 akasa silent 120mm fans to replace the standard fans on the H70 CPU cooler. I have built and saved a config of this on my scan profile if that's of any use. I tried replying to Philip P (just goes to queries[at]scan.co.uk) about the power supply change but have had no reply. I then sent an online query about cancelling my existing order so that I can place a new order with the new spec to keep the billing simple (since the new spec is more expensive) although I have since noticed that my card has been charged already for the machine. Please can one of the sales guys on here assist? Can my current order either be cancelled so that I can place a new one, or can the cancel request be ignored and the order amended? I'm afraid I do not have the online request number, I was expecting to get a confirmation email as well so I closed that window without taking a note, so my fault there, sorry.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: order amendment

    Hi,

Not intending to thread-hijack however I was in a similar situation recently, needing to add an item to my order (it'd not been picked or anything yet as was over a bank holiday) yet I could not find a way to do so. In the end I did a separate order, with additional postage cost, even though both arrived together. My fault, but a little frustrating never the less.

On other sites (sorry!) I'd have an option to "Amend Your Order" any time prior to picking but I could not find one on Scan.

I see you've helped out this user from his Forum post, it didn't even occur to me to try that. Do you plan to implement any formal feature to enable us to do this in the future. Countless times I've ordered "everything I need" only to remember something later that night.

    Thanks,

    FF.

Best thing is to submit an OLQ as soon as possible once you've decided what you want to order. If it's at night, then it should be caught in the morning when they check the messages, although obviously not guaranteed.

I tend to post on here as well quoting the OLQ number just in case.
