Please instruct City-Link to return the above order to Scan for a full refund to myself. The City-Link service has been so poor lately that I refuse to pay a premium on a product (5970) if it can't be delivered reliably. I know this isn't Scan's fault directly but you do shoulder some responsibility as it's your (only) courier.
- Delivery for Friday 11th Dec: Driver claimed no one was home but my wife and I were home the entire day (not the first time they've tried this - about the 6th time actually). I had to collect from the depot that night.
- Collection for Wednesday 16th Dec: They never turned up, I was home the whole day again. Atleast they didn't claim that no one was home.
- Collection rescheduled to Friday 18th Dec: They arrived at 4:50pm after I called them 3 times during the day with over 1 hour on hold in total.
- Delivery for Saturday 19th Dec: It's not on a van, won't be delivered today and best of all, I can't collect it from the depot either. Apparently there's a backlog due to snow and a shortage of staff. Okay, maybe I can accept that but they could've planned for it. Not like it was that sudden. They said it "should" go out Monday but couldn't confirm. Given their recent performance I don't feel like sitting around at home for a package that "might" turn up. For icing on the cake, the package is currently flagged "missing" since they don't actually know were it is but they're "pretty sure" it's in the depot somewhere.
I guess I may reorder in the new year when stock, probably prices and maybe the courier service is closer to normal expectations. Good thing I don't need the refund too badly as it's not likely to be processed until the new year anyway . Bah humbug!
Please advise if you need me to call on Monday to make an official RMA claim (ie. If this post isn't sufficient).
EDIT 21st Dec: Due winter germs flying around the household I have taken the day off work (Monday 21st). I guess it's Scan's call on how they wish to proceed with this order. Return to sender for a refund as originally requested above? Or give City-Link (they keep telling me to refer back to the sender) a kick and get them to actually deliver a package sometime today?
