    Should I RMA it?

    Hi all

    Thx for any help you can give.

    On the 16 of December last year I brought a 1 TB hard drive (1TB SGATE ST3 10000528AS SATA) and just recently it started clicking and taking ages to copy files.

    Now iv had this clicking happen with another hard drive before and shortly after it packed up.

    I was going to RMA it however it has since gone back to working fine and there is no clicking.

    Should I send it back to be RMA’d. My worry is I send it to them and they find there is nothing wrong with it but on the flip side im also worried it will start doing it again and pack up on me.

    Please either ring our returns team, or log a query here: http://web6.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Suppor...px?QueryType=R - and they'll advise you on the best cause of action.

    Get your data off there ASAP!
    Run the seatools for windows, if it gives you a fault/warranty code than you can be pretty sure its returnable.

    Thx for your responses

    iv run the seatools on it more than 5 times now and it always comes back as ok. I did mange to run it while the hard drive was clicking one time and even then it came back with no errors.

    However since i posted my inishal post i have had no problems with it. Im sure its the start of it being on the way out, just very hard to prove if i sent it back.
