    Dead Pixels - Dell U2311H

So yeah, after all the paranoia of having one, I have like 8. £220 on a "professional" monitor which I'm sure is great but I haven't a clue why I have at least 7 (9 actually, but those are less visible) dead pixels, I have run the on board diagnostics which flashes different colours, and used similar software in case they are stuck pixels, but yeah, So, I dont know what to do. Should I contact dell, I have previously contacted you guys when I had just one, and was told to contact dell but was told the exhange policy is for one bright pixel or something (thats when I had one though)

this image shows you where they are, the 2 bottom left corner ones are less visible, I've tried to ignore them but its getting annoying because of their location and the cost of this apparently oh so awesome monitor.

    Thanks

Is it new?#If so, just reject it under DSR and send it back. I wouldnt put up with that.

I had a Viewsonic monitor from Scan a few years ago. It had a flashing red pixel right in the middle of the screen. Scan werent in the slightest bit interested, but Viewsonic couriered me a new one the next day for a straight swap around.

Re: Dead Pixels - Dell U2311H

AFAIK, the Dell is a class I of the old standard (class 0 of the more recent one I think) monitor, so is sold as having 0 pixel faults. It's the retailer's responsibility to give you the product you bought, so if Scan have a replacement product they might be able to get it to you, otherwise they would just go back to Dell eventually anyway so if you wanted to cut out the middleman you could go straight to Dell (who generally have a good reputation with these things, though if the 2311H is end of line and they only have newer products you're likely to get a new model rather than the same one - whether that's better depends on your requirements).
