Well last week I placed an order, had a delivery choice between wednesday and thursday, chose thurs as I might not be in weds, and is a bit easier on scan as they do have some difficulties.
But then, at the last hour, in fact 8.23 on wednesday night, I get an email saying:
I mean, if you knew you had a lot of orders and weren't going to be able to fill mine, then you could have let me know a tad sooner. A bit disappointed, because it was for my girlfriends birthday, we're putting aside Friday to build it (wahey, geeks forever!) and her birthday is tomorrow...Please regard this email as a notification of delay in your order due to unexpected volumesin our warehouse. Please rest assured your custom is greatly valued and we will process your order with the utmost urgency. Your order has still been booked for a next working day delivery from the point of despatch and we will send further emails to confirm this.
I understand that you can't be 100% on time all the time, but the main issues are:
- why leave it so late to warn me? Surely you had some indication yesterday that you might not make the dispatch date...
- can you put a priority on it tomorrow, I know you've got a lot of orders, but I set the q delivery date a day later as I thought it would be reliable, but now next time I'm thinking maybe just pick the earliest date and hope for the best?
99/100 you're really good, just a bit peeved you left it til knocking off time to let me know, when tomorrow morning otherwise I'd be waiting for it. So let me know when you realistically expect to have it at my door (assuming citylink deliver next day), even if that's monday, or next friday. I can't stand when companies just keep putting you off at the last second so you can't moan. Not saying that's what you're doing just expressing my argh-ness.
If you fancy throwing in any freebies for her birthday that's fine I am doing the shop for her tomorrow! Not sure what to get her, as long as it's not round and ring shaped
p.s having dabbled in CS, I'd also recommend you invest in a spellcheck lol. Happy trails
