I was simply stating that Scan have gone to absurd lengths to make sure that you're computer is fine even though I have a feeling the problem could have been resolved fairly quickly for yourself if you'd followed my previous posts and even the posts of others offering to help you...

    Re: City Link

    hello,

I understand what you're saying, but I've said it over and over again, when I tried doing it myself it wouldn't work properly, I had all sorts of problems. Is this my fault? Think, would this really take 3 min to solve?

Further, I had to re-flash the BIOS to get it to boot, so all the settings were cleared. Granted, I could have just set simple things like the onboard audio etc, but as I'm not an IT technician, how can I possibly be expected to set other more complicated stuff? Something's wrong with the system, I have an onsite warranty, what do you expect?

    Re: City Link

All that matters to Scan is that the issue has been resolved amicably and tAD-15 is satisfied

We always try to help no matter how small the problem may be.

We appreciate the business AD-15 has put through with Scan as we do with all our customers and we hope we can look forward to a long business relationship in the future (without sounding too cheesy)

There's an idea, instead of Hexus Free Carriage, the Hexus Free Cookie Scheme!

I'm sure everyone would much rather get a cookie chucked inside with their delicate electronic components

Yet again SCAN have done an absolutly BRILLIANT job here - at no small cost to themselves. I doubt any other vendor would have done this.

    Well done SCAN.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Agree on the service front - first rate. Can't help think the OP would have been better going for a Dell - no worrying about having to setting BIOS parameters, as there are none to change.

Indeed. I agree to an extent, as there was a problem with the system, and as I'm paying a lot of money for on site warranty, I think Scan thus should have taken it, paying for it to be done, as they have done. Plus, it's their fault they didn't do it, not mine.
