Ok... I purchased a 1TB WD MyBook Pro Edition II last week. As I really need storage for some University projects.
I got the unit and was extremely dissappointed as it
a) suffered from delayed write failures.
b) was incredibly noisy. Like having a leaf blower sat on your desk.
c) so hot I fear the drives won't last long.
So I requested an RMA, as the unit is just too noisy for me despite being classed as quiet, having Scan book collection via City Link.
I waited in today for the booked collection from 2:30pm until 5:30pm and no City Link.
Now I am at Uni... and all deliveries go to a main reception... for security. However that reception will not handle returns. I knew this and I gave scan this info to add as a note for the City link driver.
If I check the consignment number, the driver came at 3:49 and claimed "goods were not ready for collection"
I rang up the branch, and the "gentleman" I spoke to didn't seem all that bothered about helping me, I infact believe it's Scan's account manager at citylink Manchester I spoke to. He explained that the driver was refused collection... "it's not always possible for driver to ring the customer" and the name "Chris" means nothing on the notes.
Now... the driver didn't go to the correct address... because if he did he would have rung the bell to my halls...he instead assumed he had to go to the reception, and didn't bother to call at the address on the booked collection...
...so now I have to sort out another collection? Am I going to be charged for this "missed" collection today?
Can someone please give me some idea of what is going to happen.
