First of all, put yourselves into our shoes, particularly after reading your various posts, now tell me, why I should pull out any stops to help you. Lets be honest you can't even help yourself so to expect someone to help you after the posts you have made are incredible.

I fail to see any issue here, you have contacted us to request service on suspected faulty items, we have authorised that request and will process it when the goods are received. There really isn’t anything I could do in any case.

Return the goods and we will process the RMA.

Should you wish to ask anything else, then please do so politely and with respect, in return I will afford you the same, anymore posts like the ones above and I will remove you from our forum.

Very well put Wesley, out of thousands of orders sometimes things go awry or are faulty but most people try to solve the situation in a calm manner. He should be given this -------

Just to say I've ordered from Scan on numerous occassions and will be doing so again in the not too distant future.

I have only had one item which was dead. I contacted Scan and they told me to send the item back. They tested it, found it faulty and replaced it with a new card. Problem solved.

It was a fuss free, smooth service with a quick turnaround. As such I do believe the Customer service claims because I've experienced first class service on every occassion.

I dont want you to pull out anything. I merely want you to abide by the consumer protection distance selling regulations 2000.

I have contacted trading standards and will be sending you a formal letter of complaint requesting a full refund for the faulty items and carriage. If you still wish to avoid granting me my rights I will procede with a claim to the small claims court.

    Ghostofmaxwell.

This fella is even posting on new ID's.

Has anyone else noticed that when people are being TOTALLY unreasonable they always pull the 'Trading Standards' stunt.
You do also realise they will laugh at you...along with everyone else that is laughing at you that has read this thread. DSR only apply for the first 7 days.

How long have you had the components again???Alot longer.!!!
Is is anyones elses fault but your own that you didnt test in time? Nope!

Whatever your name is.....did you know TS only act on multiple complaints rather than singular whines.

Re: Dont believe the costomer service claims from scan.

Now all of a sudden you know the law of which you said you have no time to learn/read... or atleast you think you do. Think about it Scan have evidence of you choosing not to read the terms and they also have evidence that they have sent you those terms for you to keep.

7 days of cancelation have passed that is your fault and your fault alone. All you had to do was send them a note to explain you was having a little trouble with the components so you could refer back to it later if needed. Scan have offered to have your items in for testing so they can replace whatever is faulty for you, but you choose not to accept their offer and for godsake they aren't going to charge you a restocking fee!!
I don't see where you have a leg to stand on, they have offered to help you but you choose not to accept it, what more can they do?

If anything the only thing you should maybe be trying to get is a free delivery back to Scan, but I think your actions have perhaps blown that chance.

We've all had our horror stories; just mention a certain over clocker etailer in the buyers forum and you'll see quite a lot of feedback - I personally have never had a problem with them. You've just been unlucky.

To allow one e-tailer experience to sour future purchases is pointless. Would you allow a dodgy purchase from a high street store prevent you from buying anything from any shop in the country?

Send the kit back, let them test it and replace the faulty goods etc and get on with your life!

    jasonroberts / ghostofmaxwell

Whatever you want to call yourself.

On a personal note, detached from work, your posts beggar belief.

Now back onto facts at every point we HAVE abided by ALL consumer protection regulations, distance selling don't apply to you, so no point in referring to them.

You will not be getting a refund, nor will you be getting a collection, you will be receiving no gesture of goodwill, we will action the absolute bear minimum required of us under law in this case.

Next time you deal with people / shops / mail order outlets may I suggest that you present your case politely and factually, that way people will respect you / want to assist you and maybe even go the extra mile to assist you. After reading your post i neither respect you, nor do i want to assist you and i sure wont be going the extra mile for you.

You will be afforded what the law entitles you to in the case and nothing else.

Good day and good luck, you will now be removed from our forum.

It's the "Busy student" bit that got me... rofl

I work in the centre of london (an hour and a half from where I live) and managed to get a Scan return sent back to them within the 7 day DSR... It's common knowledge isnt' it??

Isn't it pretty obvious after a few goes that something is faulty, I can't see how it took over 7 days to test it...

Some people are idiots. end of.

In my experience of doing the job you're doing I would say that Goat of Jason Maxell Roberts has probably broken his product himself. It's so often that I would deal with someone who would say a product is DOA and they wanted a replacement NOW! that you'd find out that for instance they'd dropped a laptop, bent a pin on a motherboard or just something like that. People like this always used to arouse my suspicions. I'll be anyone a shiny pound coin that this "busy student" did something silly like screwing the motherboard directly into the case and it all went whoof or something like that.
