Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

Unfortunately for me, I believed the doom laden roumours about the new Yorkfield CPUs being delayed till March or April so I order a Q6600.

It arrived on Monday, and is running nicely, though a little warmer than I would prefer.

I guess in theory, I could return it, and order a Yorkfield instead, but I would not do that.

Rumours possibly started by Intel to clear the channels. There's still no guarantee that they will be out at the same time though.

Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

Ordered the 8500 that has undercut a competitors price by £20 so I'm happy.

One problem. I forgot to add some TIM cleaner to my order, is there anyone on here that is part of the shop that can add it to my order?

That's because they're releasing the X48 boards soon.

I find it's always better to give them a phonecall to do this kind of thing otherwise they might miss your post.

Does put into perspective just how expensive OCUK seem to be +£20, no doubt they will have some great overclocking chips to make up for the difference in price though!!
Nice prices Scan I think I will wait for the new quads myself though ...

Scan's chips will overclock just as well. No company cherry picks processors

Just what i was about to post, the only reason they are more expsensive at ocuk is that they want to get as much as they can out of their customers.
