Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

Unfortunately this is the problem when you get a massive hype on forums for a product, the reseller knows they're going to shift so they can stick a premium on. OcUK sadly have been doing this for a while now, most notably with their graphics cards releases.

I suppose they are a business at the end of the day though...

Anyway, here's to getting an e8400 £20 cheaper from Scan

Have you had a check on any sites for availability? Why not read the countless threads which have the release date listed as today?

Hmm, I wonder if they're still honouring the 22nd delivery I booked?

Oh well, not the end of the world.

Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

    Bit of a joke tbh.

Not having stock on launch day is a let down.

Think I'll cancel my order and go with whoever can get me one the fastest.

No stock will force customers to go pay the extra at other outlets

I hope they get enough on the 30th to keep everyone happy.

Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

This is exactly why other companies are charging a premium, because we're perceived as impatient consumers with no loyalty. Yes it's a pain I won't be able to get my CPU tomorrow as indicated, but life goes on. I'd rather have the £20 saved towards more important things... like beer, instead of lining the pockets of a company quick to capitalise on my impatience.

Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

Doesn't look like many other competitors will be getting them in today anyway so your point is moot.

    Very dissapointed.

So have you reordered with Scan then?

It's the same with every hardware release these days, get the hype up a bit before release day. Think we'd be used to it by now

Re: E8500,E8400,E8200 - Prices Are Up

I didn't actually cancel, after finding out that most competitors don't have them on the actual release, I'm going to keep my order with scan kept just incase there is some miracle and some come in today

    *Sigh.
