City Link consigment numbers

Just a small issue for you scan guys to sort when you get time, the last few orders i have placed with scan (not to many the last year, as i havent been upgrading/building new systems) have all the consigment number not work when i goto the city link website.

I used to use this in the past so i could verify that i would be getting the parcel delivered and have people wait in to recieve it. The last order i placed on friday for delivery today has the same problem, i just checked (as it hasnt arrived yet) and all city link reports is Job Number 'xxxxxx' Does Not Exist. Its not a big issue i know, but no point in sending me the information if it doesnt work

Maybe im just unlucky? anybody else get this?

The details will work when the goods arrive at the main citylink depot, and are booked in on their systems.

I just seem to remember my last 4-5 orders having "Job does not exist" on the day that they were meant to be delivered (and were delivered). Like i said its not a big issue at all, but i used to use it to verify that my order would be delivered

i only ever got job doesnt exist in the afternoon/evening beteween the goods being informed as sent by scan/OLtracker and city link actually booking them in later that evening.

its not only with scan, also other suppliers who send via CityLink when they notify you of the package is picked, packed, readied and given CL number prior to CL collection and bringing to the local hub.
After its booked in at local hub it has always been updated checking late evening, and following morning will show then the package is on van for delivery so you can arrange for someone to standby to accept the package.

Its really great, saves a lot of time and missed deliveries from 'the old days' when you had to predict the arrivals!

Mine worked. I ordered friday morning, and was able to check throughout the weekend.
