    Time to cancel me thinks.
Gainward are always late to market compared to others.

If it slips to the 28th ill cancel the order as I can get the card cheaper by then, the reson for paying a little extra to get it from scan is that I want it now, NOW damit!!!

Another retailer (ccl) has just provided a lead time of 18-19 days for the XFX ultra.

I hope scans 'special' relationship with Nvidia is REALY special

That's why I cancelled. Sales people saying 'definately Friday or Monday' and then... nothing.

    Yes. To be fair.

I guess XFX would say that's it down to Nvidia, and from the recent reports that only 50-100 6800U CPU's have made it into the retail pipeline I guess that's the case. Only rumour of course.

On the other hand, Scan have been keen to point out their close links to Nvidia UK, which would lead you to beleive that perhaps they would have a better idea of what's actually going on

As far as I can tell, the delays are due partially to nVidia's new drivers (which improve performance dramatically, and so ideally should be bundled with the cards) and with the production yields at IBM. There were even rumours of increasing clock speeds to improve competitiveness with ATI, which could push back the release date, but this seems to be a mere rumour.

Gainward are now saying the end of June for their cards, and Gigabyte mid-June, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. Naturally retailers just have to sit and wait.

    Kind Regards

I dont think you should discount those increased core clocked rumours so quickly My understanding is that XFX and other companies have some stock ready to ship but are simply waiting for the nod from nVidia with some drivers and maybe a bios flash.

I will be majorly peed off if Gainward make it before XFX as I only went XFX to ensure I get it as soon as humanly possible in the UK.

You said you checked with nVidia? Not sure how that works as I believe XFX already have the cards and ready to ship ?

And the 17th is f**in useless as thats a thursday, meaning scan dont ship until friday earliest ....
