XFX 6800 Ultra - Pre-Order on Scan

Scan did not supply it at all XFX did. We have the same card here now, TR don't . Scan is where you can buy one.

The card that XFX sent in for review was clocked higher than the reference board we looked at – the GPU is clocked at 450MHz and the memory at 1100MHz, which is about as fast as you’re likely to find any 6800 Ultra card.

The availability of XFX cards has just been pushed back again by distributors to the 1st July (was 25th June). Having said that, scan may be getting cards directly from XFX, but who knows ?!

They are getting them direct from XFX, but it is getting harder to get someoen to put a date on anything now-a-days

I am still hopeful that its end of next week as now the reviews are popping up of retail cards and Scan sent me two delay updates a week apart both same date! (thats a first).

Just checked with Scan, apparently XFX have said that 15 XFX 6800 Ultras are coming into the UK tomorrow. 10 of which are going to Scan I know I am one of the first to pre-order so hopefully that means I will have a 6800 Ultra to play with at the weekend !!

Ok good news .... We have recieved some of the XFX cards from our suppliers, however the bad news is that we only recieved 5 instead of the 10 we should have got.

The cards will be dispatched to the people that first placed there order therefore I would advise most people that ordered say around 12th May and before to keep an eye on there email later tonight to see if the cards have been dispatched.

Yes we was suppose to be getting at least 10 however there are still some outstanding on that order.

I should imagine that we should get the outstanding cards either tomorrow or monday, but either way I shall keep you all upto date.

That's interesting, as it's the first 6800 non-Ultra I've seen with GDDR3 memory. By my reckoning we now have 128Mb/256Mb DDR, 128Mb/256Mb DDR2, 128Mb GDDR3 boards!

It's a shame Leadtek don't have any information about this card publically available on their site, as at only ~£9 more than the standard DDR1 cards (not to mention it's in stock) it may be quite a find.

Probably. I think all this NV40 anticipation is starting to affect my judgement Still, at least I wasn't mad enough to snap up one of those CoolFX cards when they came in stock.

Looks like OCUK took delivery of some cards today. XFX making promises it cant keep to too many suppliers perhaps?
