And Geil and Mushkin?
And Geil and Mushkin?
Could we have some sort of wishlist feature, so that I can store on the scan website a list of items that I plan to buy next time I put an order in.
For example, last time I had my case open, I noticed that one of my SATA cables had lost some of the insulation. Not bad enough that I needed to rush to PC world to pay their inflated prices, but enough that I wanted to buy another when I next ordered from you guys.
A month or so later, I ordered a CPU cooler and various other bits from you, at a total cost of about £50, obviously I forgot about the SATA cable. When I opened my PC to fit the cooler, I immediately saw the faulty SATA cable and cursed my forgetfulness. I will now probably have to buy one locally at more cost to me, and a lost sale to you.
If there was a way of storing on your website a list of those little things, you would probably sell more of them. For an example of how it might be done, see Chain Reaction (cycling stuff)
+1 I think ebuyer does something like thet but it's a while since I shopped there so I'm not sure.

On sale in the US:

TBH I'm suprised how scarce Plextor optical drives are in the UK... users know they make the best quality drives that don't sound like your PC's a washing machine on spindry every time you try to install something or watch a DVD.
Any chance you could stock the non DELUXE version of the Shuttle XPC SX48P2-DELUXE, the one that is DDR II and not DDR III ?
This is pretty much the only area I think Scan need to improve on at the moment. I was planning a new rig at the weekend and was surprised at the lack of good quality RAM brands available on the website.
I would love to see some stocked Mushkin, Geil, G.Skill memory in the future
And don't forget OCZ!I would love to see some stocked Mushkin, Geil, G.Skill memory in the future
Another OCZ product that I would love to see on SCAN is the ModXSteam Pro. It is one of the best value power supplies on the market, and I'm really surprised SCAN don't stock it, in fact there are very few good value PSUs on SCAN at all
45w AMD quad core
605e AMD Athlon II X4 (AD605EHDK42GI)

would love one of these, do you have any plans to stock it?
Bigger choice of Lian-Li cases:
For example PC-P50 case that im currently using (PS, its awesome)
Oops, forgot about this thread again from my other thread:
Just wondering if/when you'll be getting these drives in? WD My Book 3.0
I'm in the market for laaaaarge external HDD, but would rather hang fire until these USB 3.0 models are out for future-proofing!
Cheers,
Su
P.S. Can we make this thread a sticky please?!
Popcorn Hour IRK-200 please.
The Man Who Can fulfilled one of my requests (and didn't tell me, the cheeky scamp!) but no news on the above.
Postage from the USA is more than the cost of the item itself.

@Su: You can get Buffalo USB 3.0 drives from Scan now, unless you're specifically after WD.

I did look at the Buffalo ones, but from reading around the net, the drives they use inside "are dependant on market conditions" - i.e. they use the most cheapass drives they can find
I would prefer to know exactly what drive is inside, and tbh I only use WD drives!
Cheers,
Su
