Just an update to this.Originally Posted by stu.artd
I placed a new order online last night for items that were all showing in stock (Gigabyte DS4, Corsair PC6400 DDR2, Seasonic PSU and Intel Pentium D 805 - the CPU will do me until conroe is available and let me get the system built).
I then checked my e-mail and found one from scan offering free delivery if I placed a new order as way to apologise for my having to cancel due to stock issues - but that I'd have to place the order over the phone. As I had placed it online I thought I had maybe missed out on this special offer but I gave customer service a call and they removed the carriage charge. While I was on I mentioned that some items on the order had been on today only but I'd made the mistake of buying them from the normal pages at the usual price and the CS rep told me they'd sort that as well and I'd get a refund of the difference after the order had processed. I got an e-mail confirming this and when I checked the order value it was now £20 less due to the price changes and the free next day delivery.
I've went from being a disappointed customer to a very happy one, all due to what I'd call very good customer service, thanks Scan.
