In core temp it shows the tcasemax temp of 85deg which i think is built in to the chip, i believe it throttles over this temp but not sure how to change it.

its the hard-to-see black connector in the bottom right, next to the ATX power block.

Its a great board , dont worry about tlittle things like that , as long as you do whats necessary thats all that really matters.

The board is really stable and helps you get the best out of your components , My advice is buy one and dont worry about the whole temp thing , I think your covered with asus for three years and thats probably how long you are going to use it for.

Im worried about my cpu rather than the board, not knowing the real temps when pushing over 4Ghz isnt good.

    I took mine back tonight.

and i was going to buy one of these as well

I was going to go for that or the asus P5B Deluxe, but i see that alos has probs reporting correct temp.

Anyone know what Conroe Mobo i should go for then with my E6600? that reports fairly accurate heat info seeing as i will be overclocking?

I think you are doing the wrong thing , this board is cool , I am doing a little review of this now and from what I am discovering as I am doing so its flawless.

Its very overclockable cos it even got me stable no1 at this joint for E6600

This board is awesome , when hexus reviewed it it got a very good rating for it , I have not seen one bad review.
