Well in all honesty there was never a budget (its not my cash) so what I wanted was a case that would be easy to use and had good airflow, the eclipse seemed a popular choice.

it does have great airflow..good for cable management to. I doubt it will effect you but if you have a big cpu cooler...which you know you will...it wont fit with the extra Hard Drive cage in the case...but who needs more than 4 hard drives lol

in the eclipse (if you dont piss about with the 5.25 bays), you will loose the extra drive cage like StaffsMike has said if you have a big cpu cooler, .e.g. artic cooler freezer 64 (whatever its called) You can fit another 6 HDs in though

I need to find something so i can fit a HD into a 5.25 bay... need it to hold 9 HDs... its a very big and open case and has space for 2 * 120mm fans.

    just found these: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=475814
£2 a pop aint bad at all..

lol i still havnt ordered it...i cant make the decision.
I've been having the 320 vs 640 discusion in a different thread. I'm a sucker for good customer service and decent warranties...so the difference in price for me is around £100...a tidy saving towards my raptors lol

Yeah I want to run everything off them...they are noticably different in vista from 7200rpm

I go to stafford uni yeah. Not there this year though

Give ian sunley a kick in the balls for me when you are

the 320 is a stop gap measure... with all that other kit i would go for the 640

gonna upgrade my own system when the e6320, 6420 etc.. versions come out

No idea yet. Shouldnt think they will be too different to the 8800's (as they are now)

Thinking/hoping along the same lines as 7800 and 7900

Seems to have gone a bit off topic in here but with the eclipse you can hold 5 HDD's at the front but you will kill the air flow at the front, and then two more up next to the PSU tray, but if you use a tall tower cooler you may have to lose it depending on the location fo the CPU.

The Eclipse is the EASIEST case to build in, everything comes off the case so you can be left with a bare shell, build the system outside of the case on the removeable motherboard tray, put the tray back in with all the panels off, wire it up whilst making sure you keep it all nice and tidy.

I apologise about the bad photography but this was taken with the case on its side whilst running my overclocking testing using my K750i. Only problem I found with that IB9 board is the placement of the USB headers, above the PCI slots so you can't route the cables at all. Apart from that you can (just) see the ATX cable through the hole in the motherboard tray, and also the PCI-E cable routed behind the motherboard tray. Also the 4 Pin 12V cable routed through the PSU tray to the top left. X-Fi and optical cables are routed behind the motherboard tray and you can hardly see those at all.

Only problem with this cases interior is that it atracts finger prints like anything.

You can put 2 HDs in the floppy spots or i hope.. will find out soon.. looks like enough space is there but its gonna get hot :S
