anyone ever had problems ordering from play.com

You guys are making me nervous.... placed an order with them today and i wait in anticipation now to see if it all works out ok! but to be fair have used them loads and only had one thing go missing and they replaced no fuss....(after the necessary time allowed for Royal Mail) but havenot used them in ages as they've not been as competitive in prices... we'll see!

I've order lot of stuff from play never had any problem with my credit card.

The last thing I order was on the 08/12/2008 but it wasn't posted till 11/12/2008 - I think play are a bit busy at the moment.

i ordered with them few times, but the delivery times a bit slow , from 1 up to 2 weeks to arrive .

Tried to order an HDMI cable through playtrade 12 days ago, and after that, no email or whatever, only to find out my card have been declined again.

I've no idea why won't Play take any of my debit/credit cards.

I think at the moment SCAN/Play are the only place that doesn't take my credit card, while Play is the only place that doens't take my debit card.

I made an order on 24th Dec and just got email this morning 29th saying "Your order has been posted". So I need to wait another 3 -5 days for dispatching time I think .

Personally if I'd placed the order on the 24th I would expect it to be posted on the 29th at the earliest, out of interest when you placed the order when did you expect them to post it?

Yet another retailer giving their employees time off on bank holidays. It's a disgrace. If only people would be a little more considerate during the Christmas period and work through the masses and masses of orders they get at this time to keep to the expectations that have been built up over the summer months.

The last order I made from them was two DVD spindles, they send me two USB desk fans. They went straight in the bin :| Took a week or so to get the DVDs.

I did not complain the time delivery 3-5days . it is standard time no problem .

I ordered 2 items on 24th and arrived in 2 packets. First item delivery by parcelforce (red van),packed in the lightweight grey mailing bag, the bag very thin and no bubble line inside to protect the HD media player box . Open and exam , the box was damaged and dent + broken seal , the CD software inside was cracked . I returned and request a replacement and still waiting and not know when I will have the replacement for my 1st item .
The 2nd item arrived later, delivery on 5th Jan .

I've made 15-20 orders with Play and never had a problem, lots of others seem to though.

I use Playtrade too, since delivery is free unlike Amazon Marketplace.

Takes a little while longer to arrive than other sites but can't argue with free postage and I've not had anything lost yet.

and ive only had a problem with one in that time when they sent me the wrong thing... so thats a pretty good endorsement right there.
im in a good mood with them today as well, as they honoured my order for 4GB of mispriced DDR2 for £12.99

although on checking my account i have one outstanding order for a CD that is listed as Awaiting Stock

personally, i've not had problems with them either, but after reading all of this.

i'm a little put off, but they are cheap and i the moment, i'm really tempted by the 16GB memory stick, for my psp.. (only 57.99) and they never sting you on delivery..

I get i would avoid anything on "playtrade"
