I think that Ebay is like trying to learn all about life by reading manuals.
You start by finding a problem, you read about it, and then next time you progress past the first problem to encounter a new different problem. You read about this.....

No wonder most pensioners give up on the using internet. They spent all their lives obeying rules, and now to sell all their life long collection of items, they have to read the IT equivalent of War and Peace. Joy.

It really irritated me that, because it had options like "Prevent buyers with less than -1 feedback from bidding on your items" - well obviously!

And another one said "Prevent buyers with 3 non-payment strikes in the last month from bidding on your items". If they've got 3 strikes for non-payment in a month then they should've been booted off the whole site.
