i got an Antec True Blue psu from them about a year ago and it arrived next day no problems
Ebuyer gets the thumbs up from me, though I've never had to return anything.
Placed many orders with them, would hestitate to do so again.
Have ordered virtually all my stuff from Ebuyer and they have always delivered decent kit apart from twice.
I ordered a printer they sent a print/scan/copy/fax - returned it and they sent a DAB Radio instead, returned that and got printer.
Other one was a case they had back before I got it. It had a faulty USB as I found out after a full build. I couldn't be bothered removing all the parts and returning it so just kept.
Good on price and delivery can be a little steep - phone support takes ages to get through. However, compared to Savastore they are absolute saints - just burn your money and time instead.
Komplett had some XFX 7800GT in stock (282 + del) and Ebuyer don't (267 + del) but I am waiting for resolution on someone else's case against Komplett before placing an order though. (Visit forum for details - posted by zergbrood).
I have never used any other online retailers though - will take a look at Scan. BTW what is this Romulous?
i've had several trade with ebuyer...no DOA no RMA, all good
i could be lucky
Your not lucky, there are just a few unlucky people who keep mentioning it.Originally Posted by siuron

Once their server crashed at Christmas and so my order didn't go through-I tried a lot of times to get through to the order received payments but the web page always crashed even though I have ADSL . Anyway they sent me five times my order which was a hard drive and stuff worth 235 pounds, so they debited 1250 pounds from my account. I had a charge on my overdraft and they never agreed to send a letter to my bank saying that it was their fault. they just ignored my e-mails.
I'm going to avoid them as much as possible

So why would they need to send a letter to your bank?
I'm sorry, but that sounds like one stupid made up scenario, and from your post it seems your not old enough to own a credit card.
Whatever mailorder company anyone has mentioned there will always be someone on a forum somewhere complaining. I have used both ebuyer and bought all the parts for my custom build from micro direct with no problems whatsoever. If anyone needs peace of mind just purchase on your credit card, if you have any problems any good credit card company will sort it out, some even offer extended waranty/accidental damage schemes; Perfect for all new system builders.
i have to say they do have soem very cheap stuff lol 16 quid for a case and psu but still wouldnt order it

I use some kind of ebuyer champion for the world?Originally Posted by DeludedGuy
Sorry about the lack of punctuation on the explanation but it is fairly succint anyway.
The reason why they had to post a letter to my bank is because ebuyer drew out money beyond my overdraft because their server crashed and made a duplicate order.
Their server crashed because of the Christmas rush. I tried loads of times for about two days in a row last December to get the order, and it always crashed while putting the details through on the transition to the first secure page .
Eventually I got "payment made" page on my order after maybe 25 attempts and I got a single order confirmation e-mail.
it turns out of the 25 attempts five had actually got me through on their server but hadn't returned a page or an e-mail to me so I got five orders debited .
All the orders went through on to my account and I got a charge for being over my overdraft limit because the total order was £ 1250 and my bank is particularly **** but I don't usually ever get overdrawn so I haven't bothered changing.
ebuyer flatly ignored all my e-mails asking them to acknowledge that they had sent me five Christmas orders because of server overload at Christmas and they had only sent me an e-mail from one Christmas order. so I couldn't send in an acknowledgement to my bank.
I know about computers, I've worked with many servers in as400 UNIX OS2 etc and I know a server crash when I see one.
