    1. Do you retailer research eg. Romulus.com
    2. Choose your retailer
    3. Buy your items

Ebuyer is well known for problems.

I think after placing regular orders with multiple companys, you'll soon find thingz often can and do go wrong with most (some more than others obviously).
To me personally, aftersales support counts for alot.. i'm happy to place lil' insignificant orders with most major online sellers, but only trust a tiny few with the more significant orders(Scan/Komplett/MD).. especially when delays can become costly.

Here is how my last 3 orders from ebuyer went like:

    - Faulty ram RMA'd.
    - Wrong hard drives sent (ordered 2x 200g sata drives... they sent 2x80g IDE drives).
    - DOA laptop hard disk.

It seems every order something goes wrong for me lately. I have recently bought from scan using the hexus free delivery deal and was very impressed with the service. Will only buy from scan from now on.

As has been said, you get what you pay for. Romulus is the key to a good experience, you don't have to choose the expensive places with good Customer Services, they will cost more, but it'll be less hassle if things come dead.

I've used ebuyer, and they've certainly had problems, but nothing that major, i had to send them a letter by recorded delivery to get them to ship my order once, but i've also had to RMA stuff to them, and found it to be only minorly anoying.

There are worse out there than ebuyer!

Ive used ebuyer a fair bit and only had 1 minor problem but i do hear a lot of people saying they have been sent DOA RAM. The major beef i have with them is that there RMA service used to be pants, orderd a cheap MP3 player off 'em but after a weeks light usage on the bus the back light packed in and it seemed to be a very long process to get it returned. It will teach me to buy ebuyer value stuff i spose

I have to say, I've used Ebuyer on a regular basis and not had any problems. Yes I've had a few faulty items, but there turn around time has been very quick (within 7 days from posting the item back). I would recommend them as I've had some real bad experiences with Eclipse and Misco (6 months to sort out an RMA).

There are much worse out there. The main problem with Ebuyer is that they don't pick up the returns like scan, which can be a pain if its a bulky item.

Yeah as mentioned EBuyer seemed to have gone down hill yesterday, with many orders being placed and never turning up for me, also having wrong items sent and paying for next day delivery and it not coming for 4-5 days!

It is a shame as they were always good before, maybe now there inundated with too many orders?!.. God knows, but they don't seem as good as they were.

I think they have just got too busy and can't cope. They do now pick up returns for free (if item proved faulty). But if you want to get hold of them in a rush you have no chance. There enote system can take a week or more before you get a response.

I usually use someone more reliable unless there price is just too good to miss then I cross my fingers and hope it arrives in working order.

I used to use ebuyer but i wouldn't bother anymore as a friend of mine recently used them to make a computer but was left for over a month waiting for the cpu to arrive. She had to waste lots of money on making phone calls and most of the time couldn't get through to talk to anyone.
