Nice list... but you are clearly missing Diablo 2
For me, i keep coming back to Civ 4 (B.T.S.) time and again too.
Battlefield 2?
Oh, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 mixed the Battlefield above with that 0h-so-awesome John Williams music, and a little bit of X-Wing v Tie Fighter that worked well multiplayer.

Have to include GTA Vice city in the list. Great voiceovers, brilliant music and radio stations and the settings(like the scarface house etc) were great. It had one of the best atmospheres of any game I've played in a long time as gave a real feeling of the 80's.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

These are the games that stood out for me in the 2000's, I've bolded out those which meant the most to me. If I had to choose one game which defined my decade of gaming, it would easily be Counter-Strike, though I now haven't played it for many years.
2000 - Banjo Tooie (the N64's swansong for me) (N64)
2000 - Tony Hawks 2 (PS2)
2001 - Jak and Daxter: The Precursor's Legacy (PS2)
2001 - Counter-Strike (1.0 to 1.6) - for about the whole of 2000, 2001 and 2002, this was pretty much all I ever played online...
2002 - Battlefield 1942 - this eventually took over from CS as my online game of choice
2002 - Medal of Honour: Allied Assault
2003 - Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (PS2)
2003 - Beyond Good and Evil (PC)
2005 - Battlefield 2
2006 - Battlefield 2142
2006 - Zelda: Twilight Princess
2006 - Psychonauts (PC) - absolute classic, the last great 3D cartoon adventure.
2007 - Mario Galaxy
2008 - Mario Kart Wii
Batman Arkham Asylum
F.E.A.R.
Shogo: MAD*
Rogue Squadron 3D*
UT2004
Jedi Knight: Outcast and Academy
Dawn of War 1
Dead Space
Bioshock
Audiosurf
FFX on PS2
SSX Tricky on PS2
Mario Galaxy on Wii
*just within 10 years, hopefully
Edit: I'm going to add three very special gaming moments:
1. Seeing Unreal for the first time, the introductory bit with the castle, and the first level with the mist in the pipes, and thinking WOW. THIS is what I got a 3d card for. It kicked Quake 2 into a cocked hat, as the expression goes.
2. Playing Half Life for the first time. Specifically, the geniune fright which a lot of people I know all experienced when, near that huge fan that you have to activate, a face crab jumps up at you out of a lower level air vent. Yeah, you know the bit I mean.
3. Loading and playing the HL2 demo, looking at the graphics and just being absolutely blown away. The distance they lifted the bar was phenomenal. Doom 3 was already out by then, IIRC, which looked nice in a cartoony way, but the level of detail in HL2 was just something else.
