Xbox so far, as an unbiased bystander. However by rights neither should exist, gaming consoles should really have been gone the way of the dodo a couple of generations ago. The Xbox One is pretty close to what we should already have been using, but until people stop handing money to people like MS Gaming, Sony and EA they'll still be force fed rubbish that's going to keep making them poorer and the aforementioned guys richer.
Moo.
Xbox one reveal was kind of disappointing. PS4 looks better for gaming by far since its main focus is gaming whilst the xbox has focus on a media centre.
Since the Ps2 I've not bought a console, but from first glance, IF i were to buy one it would probably be the Ps4.
Neither, for me.
PS4 is just vaguely possible, but I'm not a Sony fan, and haven't really bother to even look at what the PS4 offers, so I guess I wouldn't rule it out entirely, without doing that.
XB One is dead, as far as I'm concerned, unless it changes substantially from what's been announced, And I'm not holding my breath.
PS4 is on my list, I might still buy a XBone but I'm still going to be playing games on the PS4. I can't bother with the a XBone having to be connected every 24hrs
If I have to pick, then the PS4, however I think I would rather just upgrade my existing PC. The Media center parts of the XBox do interest me, but in order to access any of them, you usually have to pay for XBox Live Gold subscription, which I am so annoyed about (after trying to watch lovefilm on my increasingly dusty paperweight of a 360) that I flatly stopped using it.
The real question as I see it, is how are Sony going to mess up this golden opportunity that they have been handed?
Right now it's looking like if I buy a next generation console, it will be the PS4, simply because I will be buying a games console for its ability to play games, and the PS4 is looking more powerful for that functionality, with far fewer restrictions (including not being able to play games if you aren't online!).
ps4 4 me
PC tbh, though if I had to (and probably will for MP, depends what my mates go for) the PS4 looks the better bet, though I will decide after they announce what there plans are for second hand games / locking games to accounts ect.
Neither. PC gaming all the way for me because I enjoy updating my parts to improve the experience.
The Xbox 360, in my opinion, was better than the PS3 because it provided a good gaming experience and when I wanted, I could just browse the dashboard and there was enough to view/use so I wasn't totally bored. I could use Internet Explorer or watch YouTube videos if you wanted.
But that was always just extras. Now it seems its a lot more than extras added to a good gaming experience and that is whats worrying most people. Sony are taking a better approach and showing that the gaming experience comes first and there is no doubt that they will have at least some media services lined up, so the PS4 would be my choice.
I will probably not get either unless there is some killer exclusives and nothing else to play at the time.
I will say I current run 3 360s, 2 are purely MCE extenders.
In terms of raw power it seem they aren't going to be any better than my current PC, not a huge problem as they will drag the lowest common denominator up so PC games will benefit.
I'm just glad I didn't bother with XB, XB360, and now XBone (I like that xbone)...(same applies for PS1-4, if you wanna really game the PC was and is always the best... Totally biased on PC (cause they are the strongest and most capable...
By specs alone, the PS4 is wining, cause it's approacing the PC...
PS4 looks like the pick out of the two for me. Will probably end up getting both eventually, but for the moment, the specs + rumoured cheaper cost along with the greater focus on games make the PS4 the one I'd go for
I'm going towards the XboxOne because of the multimedia features and the simple fact we know nothing of the PS4. Just because they haven't said what their plans are for second hand sales doesn't mean they aren't going down the same route as Microsoft. If they weren't surely Sony would have seized the opportunity to land a knockout blow?
