Think its a bout time I flashed my ROM again, like the look of the latest duty as well.

Rasta have you put MSN on you kaiser yet? I have the standard t-mob data bundle that does not "allow" messenger type stuff, but use MSN on it anyway, works fine and unlikely to cause any problems as long as you dont take the piss.

Re: My HTC TYTN II arrives tomorrow, where should I start?

Probably didnt have to as was running a 6.1 rom anyway, but upgraded it to a later UK radio. Seems to be running a lot faster, but could be due to it being cleaned out, had loads of junk on there. Only prob I had was a bit of software I use for maps didnt work, bit of googling and a dload all is fine now.

There is a move to allow you to automatically install apps when the ROM finishes, you just drop the cabs in and create a text file. Havent tried it yet as I tend to have a bit of a clear out and update session for all my old cabs

Here is a list of RadioROMs:
    XDADeveloperWiki - Kaiser_Radio

It show which ones are 6.0 and which are 6.1. Dutty normally says which radios work with his ROMs in the first post of a thread.

If you want to try out new ROMs more frequently, but don't want the hastle of app installs etc, then look at User Customisation (ROM Flashing Junkies: User Customization is here! - xda-developers). Basically, using a compliant ROM (and all Dutty's new ones are) you set up an install list and setting list on your memory card and while the phone is starting first time it runs your own customisation scripts.

this along with PIMBackup should mean you can do a complete re-flash in about half an hour.

I haven't gone as far as UC yet, never got round to it so far.

do you get many (or any) user confirmations in Vista when flashing?

I always use my old laptop running XP just in case

Re: My HTC TYTN II arrives tomorrow, where should I start?

mine on vista 64 is fine as well. As for the user confirmations, just turn it off in windows. I've flashed mine twice now. Usually comes up saying an error and reboots my phone a couple of times but then it works. Did the same thing on XP so if you get this recovery mode, just keep trying a few times and it will do it. Never had an unsuccessful flash this way(and that's with hardspl, new radios and new roms).
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Another update.

Currently running a Duty Rom, and loving it,

But . . . in my contacts its somehow got some of the orange numbers in there e.g. customer service, directory enquires etc and there locked so I cannot get rid of them its really really annoying, is there anyway round this?

Re: My HTC TYTN II arrives tomorrow, where should I start?

Decided to take the plunge and flash my phone today with Dutty's latest 6.1 ROM. The instructions for each stage of flashing hard spl, radio rom, and dutty's rom stated that I had to have an active sync connection present which at the time I could not get working, so I just reset to the tricolour screen and went from there. Afterwards active sync didnt want to work, which was a pain for a little while until I found a fix: On the phone under start --> settings --> connections --> USB to PC then unticking enable advanced USB

Looks okay to me, I guess the seller is planning on it being brought with something else. You'll still be paying a few quid postage but a damm good deal none the less!
