Re: HTC HERO Arrived today :D

Looks good if it's real, however the exact message given is this..

"HTC is actively working on a software update that will make your experience on your Hero device better. A partial software update is ready in 10 days and a major release will be available in mid September containing local language support.. Please check our website from time to time and update your device when the software is available"

I would of expected some better grammar and punctuation from the head office of HTC but anyways, here's hoping.

Re: HTC HERO Arrived today :D

Turning off WiFi improved my battery dramatically, from 1 day it's now gone to 3 days and I'm only at 50% battery.. that's with pretty frequent use of calls.
Haven't had a chance to test out the MP3 player, need to look at how I go about moving my music onto it with album view.

Edit: I can't find anything on the manual about album view, don't know if it automatically downloads the cover or something.

Android + Scumm VM + Full Throttle / Beneath A Steel Sky / The Dig =

Have to say the update sounds interesting, obviously alot of people are having a much worse experience than I am having with my Hero.

I have not used mine a huge amount for Mp3s other than in my car as my current head-unit is broken, and it hasn't appeared to adversely affect my battery playing through the speaker on loudest volume for 20mins.

    Looks very good.

It's also nice to have a company that listen to customer feedback and try and solve any problems.

    W00t

My phone has been running a lot smoother since I removed some apps I had on it.

Im wondering if copilot live is worth having or if its better to wait for the garmin offering..

As far as i`m aware there`s nothing like that out atm.

Thats part of the reason that garmin getting involved is so intriguing. If they make a version of their software for the phone could be cool

Sorry to drag up a bit of the old thread but does the card seem to be an offical card as i've heard lots of reports of fakes and it actually has the 8gb.
