Iphone 3.0
Android
Windows Mobile
Well for me i think iphone is a good gaming machine but the android is better at everything else. i had a tytn2 but got stolen after a couple of months(silly me should have insured it) but i really enjoyed using it. it was a brilliant device. it was a bit slow and sluggish for web browsing plus the screen res and contrast was a bit awful but other then that it was good.
i am a android developer so i get to play with every android device out in the market atm. so far there is a lot of potential BUT as of now? i dont see anything special about it yet although im working on a project that could make it special
At the end of the day, Iphone is just a gimmick, nothing more nothing less while the WM is a proven stable framework that does its job well and the android is not a proven framework yet and needs tweaking.
There is infact a serious bug i encountered from within the android SDK so that further shows android is still in its infantry.
Battery life is also rubbish on the htc hero btw. whats the battery like on this device > http://www.htc.com/uk/product/touchpro2/overview.html
Is it fast and slick when browsing the internet? i am also on a lookout for a upgrade

I've been playing about with my dad's touch HD and I love the screen size and how quickly it responds(I've put windows 6.5 on it and it flys with that). Only problem I have with it, over my kaiser/tytnII(which I love) is the lack of a hardware keyboard. I've gotten used to being able to type quickly on it and I can only go faster on the touch HD with the stylus. Touch pro 2 is looking good so far.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
doesnt Touch pro 2 come with windows 6.5?
6.5 isn't officially released yet but think it comes with free upgrade to 6.5.

HTC upgrade will be better anyway as normally the custom network roms can be full of bloatware(thinking mainly vodafone here) which can drain battery and slow the phone down considerably.
I've flashed a lot of roms on ny kaiser and the phone always detects the network of the sim installed and sets up the right settings for text, internet etc.

Yea just install the correct radio and your good to go
When you have a network handset, and you want the HTC ROM, the usual rules apply though. You need to hard unlock it first. Even then, you won't be able to get it from HTC directly, as they only let you download it if you have a valid HTC only serial number.
I know thats just a formality when XDA-Devs are around, but I thought I would just clarify for anyone else reading this
i just realized the touch pro 2 is not even out on t mobile!!
And it's been dropped from Orange already apparently.
None of the above
Cant vote, as you didnt add Blackberry to your poll
Really recommend the RIM Bold/Curve. Cant beat it for email/business use. If you like apps there is also a app store as well http://uk.blackberry.com/services/appworld/?
I have the Bold and is great, has the res of a iphone but a nice querty keyboard ( i dont get on with touch phones hence not used the Storm - mixed reviews there it seems)
I wouldn't rule BB out of your options though overall.
