Thanks, nice find. How safe is that ROM update? I guess it's OK, otherwise you wouldn't link it.

So the offical rom isn't on the offical website?

Is this a way of reducing the tech support overhead?

That one won't work on my phone either, gets to the start of the update, goes to 1 or 2%, the phone reboots and I get a message on my computer saying the update isn't compatible with my phone...

Oh well, it's all working OK at the moment, did the SMS and Camera updates fine and I'm having no probs with it, apart from the sensitivity of the screen casuing me to have a few texting problems. Sometimes I press a letter and as I lift my finger off it slightly drags off the letter and chooses another one. I should get used to it though.

the WM 6.5 ROM for the TD2 was available through HTCPedia a few days before it was pushed to the official download site.

    Your phone provider locked?
Mines came straight from HTC so it flashed to mine with no problems.
If you want to though you can "goldcard" the mSD card and flash any official rom regardless of locale, I've just done the same with mine and gone from 1.48 to 1.61 WWE Turkish which has the camera and sms fixes.

What are your thoughts on the 1.61 rom compared to the 1.48? Any noticable improvements?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Re: HTC HD2 Phone

Seems like there's a 2.01 rom out there somewhere also (sorry if this has been discussed, or old news) - with some interesting new features.

Backs up everything. I've used it since I first got my TyTn II and started playing with custom ROMS. Also used it to move all my call logs and text messages from that to my Touch Diamond 2.

  12. Received thanks from:

Oh! Yea you're right, after looking around on more info on it. Some of the drivers are older than in 1.61. Confused me with the higher version number there.

Hmmm, having nothing but trouble now.

Can't install the new ROM because my phone is locked to o2 (I think that may be the reason)
At the moment it doesn't even show my memory card under the file explorer heading

So anyone used the Motorola Milestone ("Droid" in US, they both use Android) and can compare? Or blackberry 9700?
