Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

i just got the second 1.29 update, only about 15 MB or something.

To be honest josh i didnt get much from looking at the screenies but my phone has had much worse battery life due to the fact it doesnt kill apps as quickly as it used to before the first 1.29 patch. If i want to play a game i now have to physically go to the task killer and get rid of a load of stuff myself. Multitasking has been a lot better but the balance doesnt seem quite right, perhaps this patch may have tweaked that a bit further, i dunno yet.

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

Had my One X for 4 days now and I've set up Juice Defender exactly the same way as I had it on my Desire. I take it off charge around 6am and by the time I retire to my pit of an evening, I've still got ~25% battery remaining.

My usage is very high because it's new but I'm also doing a lot more with it than I ever did with the Desire. I highly recommend Juice Defender (Pro). I'm happy to share my basic/custom settings too, if it helps anyone glean more battery life.

Big thanks to those of you who went first too, I couldn't wait for the SGS III after seeing this phone, I'd not change a thing.

I used juice defender on my Desire but found it more of a hinderance than anything else. My battery life is fine without it anyhoo

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

My third HTC One X died today. Ran out of battery early yesterday, put it on charge overnight, this morning it won't turn on and when plugged in the charge light doesn't illuminate. Game over. I've just reported it so hopefully I'll have a fourth HTC One X on its way to me shortly.

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

I've only had one issue since getting mine a month ago, and that was a factory reset job. It stopped recognizing the SIM for no reason, wouldn't recognize any other SIM, but fixed by a factory reset. Really feels like a big upgrade from a Desire

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

My T-Mobile branded One X just updated to 1.29.110.11.

I haven't spotted any difference with it so far, although I never had any issues with it anyway.

Big thanks to those of you who went first too, I couldn't wait for the SGS III after seeing this phone, I'd not change a thing.

send me your config please. thanks

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

I've got to wait at least 14 days until I receive either my third One X back or a replacement from HTC. Since taking out my contract I've actually been without my One X more than I've been with it.

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

Few months down the line, hows everyone faring with their One X?

Im loving mine, took it away with me to spain and whilst i didnt use data much, when i was in hot spots i felt no need to actually have a laptop for the general browsing or social networking things i wanted to do.

Hmmm having a proper nightmare with mine today, it's going pretty slow and getting hot. Had a bit of graphical corruption for the first time too.
I have had to reboot it a few times aswell, considering phoning up the place I got it from and trying to get it replaced.

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

    Mine's going great.

I was thinking earlier today that a larger screen would be nice though

I did the same with the original Desire when it came out, always thought the HTC Diamond 2 was the right size, then got used to the Desire and wanted something bigger. Now used to the One X and would quite fancy the Note 2 when it comes out. I thin my wife is interested in it now too.

Looking forward to a 4.1 upgrade eventually, some of the new features in there sound good.

My phone deteriorated yesterday to the point I had to factory restore. God knows what it was that went wrong but it was just going sooooooo slow, I couldn't even use the camera as it would lag!
Must have installed something dodgy as the restore seems to have sorted it.

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

I had forgotten, but my camera hung a couple of days ago after taking a video. Had to power off and on again to reset it. Seems fine after that though.

Re: The HTC One X discussion thread

I've had mine for a few months now and love it
    + Pros
    * Best looking screen colours I have seen on a phone to date
    * Screen is just the right size so when typing horizontally my thumbs just meet in the middle
    * Very fast never had to wait for the phone to respond (unless an app itself has lagged out)
    * 32gb Memory not even got close to it yet (I got a 20gb bonus to dropbox with my One X)
    * Camera is better then I expected (although does have some montion blur problems if your shaky)

    - Cons
    * internal memory with no sd card (so no option for extra memory)
    * new mini sim card (so cant just put your old card in)
    * Due to the screens beauty it does drain alot of the battery when on 100% (left on 100% brightness will probably only last about 5 hours at a guess)
    * Over use it can become quite hot... nothing harmful you just notice the temperature difference when touching the screen

    Thanks for reading

p.s. Does anyone know any must have gadgets for the One X (mines getting lonely )
