(IIRC)because you have a quaddie you need to run 2 instances of the SMP client matey i think you just set the second to machine ID 2...

It is useing all four cores, just about half of each, or skipping between using max on each one.

Prehaps its just waiting for another core to finish??

Re: The new Hexus Teams - Setting up Folding at Home

The SMP client doesn't have a graphical interface does it?
Have you got the SMP client from here:
    http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther
If you use the MPICH version - you need to run it with a -SMP
Then if you check your task manager you should have 4 processes beginning something like fah.

Re: The new Hexus Teams - Setting up Folding at Home

I've updated the instructions for normal client and SMP client to include details on entering your Passkey...

If someone could send me some instructions for setting up f@h on a nvidia card - I can add this to the instructions?

Its the same as the normal gui client... Just install and it works... You enter team number and user name in the settings

Re: The new Hexus Teams - Setting up Folding at Home

Just fired up the GPU client to give it a whirl on my 8800GTS 320MB. What sort of iterations per sec should I be getting? It's doing about 2000/sec on average, is that ok?

Would run on my PS3 also, but not keen on leaving that on when it doesn't need to be...

You want the High Performance Clients, which are beta.

Scroll down to the last 2 of the first box and choose between 32 or 64 bit. You'll have to install some service thing though. They were released on 2008-08-08 and the 64 bit client has been working for me
