    Smile can't resize partition

    Hi,

    I have vista basic on a 74Gb raptor drive, I had previously intended to try a dual boot with ubuntu and separated out 20 odd gig for the linux install, but then didn't get round to it.....since then I have passed the computer on to my girlfriend and tried resizing/deleting the partition I had made with the vista disk management software.....

    I managed to reduce the size to around 7Gig (it won't let me reduce it further or delete it; both options are greyed out) but won't let me expand the vista partition into this unallocated space....it's status is:
    System, Active Primary Partition

    Any ideas ?

    Cheers!

    Tom

    Re: can't resize partition

    Ok, so I've worked out the issue:

    my D: partition is active primary and has no files on it;
    my C: partition has pagefile/crash dump and has all windows files.

    Does anyone know how to get all my windows files onto my D: drive....i assume it's not as easy as just copying them across :S

    Cheers!

    Tom
