About LinkBacksCatalyst 8.8 has added support for Crossfire on 48xx cards to Linux.
This is news because whilst SLI has worked in Linux since 2005, Crossfire hasn't existed until now.
With any luck, it should mean X2 cards will start to work too soon

Now all they need to do is to fix the VT switching bug. But I can see how that could be less important than crossfire
