it's on the CPU client. and it happens everytime..
i've reinstalled it 3 times. but i reckon there's maybe something in the registry that i need to get shot of.

Ok, you guys have inspired me.

Recently only my ps3 has been folding, but I think its time to bring my other 3 computers into action.

So what shall I use? I am assuming a gpu client for my main rig (3870x2), and then the normal one for my second rig? I did try using the smp client but I could never get it to work.

And for my lappy (core 2 duo t8100) shall I also use the normal one?

Any advice would be helpful as I'm a complete novice when it comes to folding.

It'd certainly go quicker if they released an easily installable SMP client though

we hit #150 then we dropped back down to #151 a few days ago, come on guys, more effort needed if we want to do well

anyone know if it's possible to run more than 1 of the normal CPU clients?

try the smp client instead, or attach it's affinity to certain cores i think works for the single core console version

Well it appears that my Q6600 is now throwing out results as my first WU in a whiles dropped in

It would have been earlier if it wasn't for the fact that it installed updates at 3 am and then rebooted which meant it was on doing nothing from 3-7am today.

At the moment it's doing a % every 5 or so minutes which isn't too bad at all is it

I've been having problems with my GPU client ever since I moved over to ATI. Fingers crossed it's fixed now, I'll see over the next few days.

Since Rai's post here http://forums.hexus.net/general-disc...-recently.html - I've gone from 175th with 666 points to 147th with 2687 points

I've had to stop one of the P4s as it was making too much darn noise. I should have an AMD to add shortly all being well.

Gah... I've had it up to here now *gestures above his head* with this rubbish client and it's inability to process data after submitting 1 WU to the database.

After it does 1 WU, it seems to get the 2nd batch of data from the servers and just sit there doing absolutely nothing for hours on end and will not start to function unless I close the F@H client and then reopen it after a few minutes.

I've not been folding properly for 5 months now, I stopped for the summer for heat/ stability reasons, my room's cold now, and I need my quad-core heater back on!

Need to sort a new graphics card, as that's causing my system to hang quite a lot at the moment, but as soon as that's done I'll be back in the fold (and doing 70,000+points per month instead of my current 2,000)... should hopefully help!

that'd be like adding an extra day to the month cos we're currently pounding out around 70,000 a day.

anyone know how to make the GPU client work on Windows XP?
is it supported by XP?

Agreed, the SMP client is rubbish - i cant even successfully install it!
I do however have the regular single CPU client running on my Q6600 which has taken me to 122nd.
Next target - Tiggerai!

Also noting that Hexus dropped a while ago to 152 Come on folks!
