Honestly Splash, I don't know - the first few installs I did I just ran through on autopilot and didn't notice there was no prompt for the SKU if no product key is entered during install (I never enter a key at this point).
When I did notice later on, it made sense as to why there are so many files to look at.
I've not tried it, but if we still use the same concept of the WIM file setup then it might be possible to enter a (e.g.) Home Premium key when booting from Ultimate media (and getting Home Premium installed, ofc).
I can grab a Home Premium key tomorrow at work at test it on the EN and SV Ultimate images sitting on my Hyper-V server to check out if they take it.

Top tip: Use the Akamai Download Manager - MUCH faster.

"In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship."
Turns out because I'm on MSDN Academic Alliance I'll have to wait a little longer. The target release date is on the 8th so fingers crossed!
Only 2 months and 2 weeks to go.. *rubs hands*
I can strongly recommend making a bootable USB stick instead of burning DVDs - install time went down from ~35 minutes to ~15 minutes for me, plus you get to scratch & add contents much more easily.
Even branded 4GB+ USB sticks are dirt cheap these days (our local supermarket has racks of 16GB Cruzers for next to nothing).
So long as your system can boot from USB you are golden (often you don't even need to change the boot order in the BIOS either, just hit a key during POST to do a one-off boot from a different device).

One of the reasons I stayed on at work to download it is my home connection which is - let me be charitable, pants - so I planned to use a spare account at work. I've got VPN connectivity at home but on 512 kbps there's not a lot of room and the machine that's doing the download isn't accessible anyway (for various reasons.)
So, I set the Akamai download thing to try 100 times if it failed, confident that when I came in this morning it would be done. No; it stopped on 45% and is now trickling in at about 45-75 kpbs. Bah and, indeed, humbug.
Has anyone used the VAT option for technet to remove the VAT, my boss has said I can use his VAT number as long as he does not have to do anything (paperwork ect)
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
I foubnd installing previous build of Win7 from USB gave me some hassle - it just would not find drivers for my SATA ports at all, despite them being there and having worked previously. I went back to a DVD install and it all worked fine...
Weird I know, but there you go.
