Woo Woo!!! Got my tenner. Shame really though as Scotland started to look quite fiesty at the end.

As for Fiji? I wept, really wanted SA out. Fiji deserved to win in my opinion but I think that SA just had the stamina even though their play was horrible.

Yep, we were beaten fairly, but at least I know the boys are coming home with heads held high. It was a gutsy performance and having seen some of the teams that the Argies have beaten, I don't think we showed ourselves up.

    Cheers,
    Stephen

I think you did better than that, you could and should have won it. That corner kick in the dying minutes (for the lineout) was amazing but the kick to run onto for the other corner was badly judged. Scotland should have just kept driving, the Argentinians were tired, you should have been over that line.

*sob* - v.v. sad kiwi over here
Had to sound like a sore loser, but we was robbed

France played a more stylish game of rugby, and we were forced into playing their style of game
However, spotted at least 4 penalties that NZ should have been awarded, French try was well forward, and sending off McAlister was a bit of a marginal call
All that aside - we shouldn't have missed the first droppie, and the second wasn't taken from a great field position, even 60 seconds earlier would have sealed the game.
Absolutely shattered - still it will make the final interesting, am backing SA all the way!

    Re: Rugby World Cup 2007

IMO last night it wasnt the argies who won the match it was the scottish who lost it.

Argentina where good but you had so many chances where ya could have won it and as flake pointed out that kick in the dieing minutes was a waste of a very good chance.

In the end though you have every right to go home with your heads held high Scotland went into the tournament as the home nation with the least chance and you got to the quarter which Wales and Supposed Home nation favourite Ireland couldnt do.

Scottish rugby is in a good place atm

Here I am, lip-balm at the ready but I can't seem to find him anywhere....

...maybe I should offer to do something similar to Gerard Depardieu? Seems to work!

    Bless you!

Is there something I don't know? Everything else seems to agree with Depardieu.

Anyway, I'd happily snog my way through assembled celebs if it helps England win. They can't hide for ever.

Incidentally, I always do my part for England by not watching them play during crucial matches. That also seems to help!
