Seemed like Warren is up to his old tricks ... and I thought that using Barrera was going to be a dicey stepping stone.
However, even though it was clearly a shadow of the former Barrera - not seeing the fight go the distance was a real dissapointment. It also doesn't really add weight to all the claims about Kahn - if he had stopped him or had a convincing points win, then great ... but hey ho, I suppose you can't legislate for stuff like that happeneing.
I actually thought that he fought well against Barrera, OK hes not what he was, but still a tough cookie, a class above what he has been in the ring against previously (Prescott Aside)
I think working with "Coach Roach" will help him no end and if he had done this from day 1 then the prescott fight would never had happened.
Give the guy some credit, he was totally dominate against the firey mexican and would have won whether he had been cut or not, he was far to quick for Barrera.
TBH Amir would be slagged off whether he won or lost so really he is in a no win situation. It seems anybody will any kind or talent will be put down thats the way of the British Public and media. If he lost agaist Barrara it would of been "how amazing Barrara is and what a fight" and as he won the expected " Barrara wasnt his best in his time he would of killed him" although before the fight I was told be everyone Barrara was going to show him how to box..
Makes me laugh

1 eye vs 2 eyes is a big disadvantage in real life situations i.e. watching TV, walking on a path, crossing roads, driving.
Now put that in a ring, it's an ever bigger disadvantage.
I personally didn't watch the fight, but if he didn't knock him out with 1 eye, then there is a big chance that he would of beaten Khan with 2 eyes.
I unfortunately paid to watch this, I've seen Khan in Bolton and my opinion is that he is an arragont over confident muppett!. Yes you have to be confident in Boxing but bordering on arrogance after knocking out mostly part time plumbers & joiners is a bit rich. He has also beaten decent oposition but whether he is World Class is to be proven - He hasn't yet.
Khan has great skills and speed but a Glass chin that has been tested by the weekest of punchers.
The Barrera fight should have been stopped in the 1st round IE No decision, not the 5th round when the cut was no worse than in the 1st, the difference being a TKO win by Khan. Had the cut not happened then I believe that Barrera would have knocked Khan out after already rocking him in one of the earlier rounds. I watched the fight telling myself if he beats Barrera than he has proven something but despite a technical win, he didnt hurt Barrera and winning a TKO decision over a partially blinded fighter by blood is nothing to shout about at world level.
I will wait till he has the nuts to get in the ring with Juan Manuel Marquez, then we will see how good Khan really is.
It's also funny to hear a lot of people around Bolton who have the same opinion, I have A friend who went to the fight who tells me that apparantly the crowd were shouting "fix" at the end of the fight.?
Bring on Marquez

I think Khan, in the last fight, just didn't look right in himself either.
This time around, he oozed confidence.
Khan looked much better after training with Roach but I still think he will be found out against some of the class boxers he should now come up against
