Amir Khan - Pathetic or Funny?

I have just watched the Khan fight and it was a man against a boy.

Khan got a pasting nside 55 seconds and it made me wnder why, after 6 months of intensive training, why he was so poor.

First decent fighter he has been up against and he cant even stand up for a minute.
If it wasn't so pathetic it wouldve been funny.

Im just glad i didnt pay to watch it.......

I was out for this match and completely forgot about it! But it was a 1 rounder so it does not look like I missed much.

IMO Khan's been hyped up a bit too much, and maybe he became over confident with the all the previous wins he was getting.

Anyhow I'm off to watch the highlights, I'm curious in how he was knocked out in 55 seconds.

Funniset thing was, in the post fight interview, he said he made a 'mistake' although he was knocked down twice.

Then he said he will watch a video of the fight to see where he went wrong.
Well when he puts the kettle on when he gets home he can watch it three times whilst the kettle boils and still have time to scratch his arse

Not all his fault though, he's been wrapped in cotton wool and paraded around.

I just hope he doesn't go the same way as Prince Naseem.

OUCH!! What the hell was Warren thinking by putting Khan in the ring with that guy! To fight someone like that you either need a hell of a defence or be able to take heavy punches, judging by the video Khan has neither.

Oh man I feel sorry for the people who paid for it on box office lol.

I actually think he is a GOOD boxer who is good to watch. Find that alot of people seem to slate him though.

I quite like him, he's got potential however he has not got steel chin so he has to work on his defence. I think with all the hype and wins he has been getting against lesser fighters, has got to his head, and it may have made him and Warren a bit overconfident.

Basically he now has to start over and go back to the drawing board.

I really think he would have been better staying amature, boxing in the olympics this year and then turning pro instead he got turned by all the money and has managed to get his arse handed to him on box office.

I saw that he'd been knocked out on the news this morning but had no idea it was the first round... He got humped big style. I've always thought he was a bit overhyped though like many so called "champion" boxers these days especially from the Frank Warren camp.

Amir Khan is a good fighter, made to look very poor by a new superstar. Amir Khan was hand picked for this fight as Briedis Prescott will be well placed now to make a certain fight promoter a lot of money. i thought Khan would lose but i didn't think it would be quite that 1 sided.

i wish khan all the best, but i doubt he can come back from this.

as for Prescott, he will dominate the division for years to come, just wish he was British.

Boxing isnt about just punching, you have to take them aswell.
A trainer can teach you EVERYTHING about boxing but he cant retrain your chin from being made of glass.

Unfortunately for him, we saw just how 'glass-chinned' Khan is and that cannot be changed no matter how much training he does.

Well, I maybe feel a lil' sorry for him. It's been a long time coming, and when it did, it came quick. Hopefully it will humble him, it's different game then just being an Olympiad.

Time to pick your self up, try and learn from it, and see if you can move on and forward. If possible.
