Great frame (2006 Nomad??) but strange component choices, straight bars and what seem to be budget forks on a really expensive frame. Can't tell what model those Suntours so could be mistaken here so apologies if wrong. but would have definitely thought bent bars would suit the frame better. Eitherway enjoy that frame it's a peach, alway loved Santa Cruz frames.

    Re: Mountain Bike thread?

Craigellachie Bridge is in Moray, Scotland, here's a link.

Nice bikes there with the Specialized and Boardman merdat. Does anyone here have a folding Montague Mountain bike? I've got the Paratrooper; I like to fold it up and put it in a car for security. The last time I was in north Wales, two specialized MTBs got pinched and the owners were understandably distraught. More than £2000 each the bikes were.

    Re: Mountain Bike thread?

Aye fuddam - sorry for slow reply. Yes the Hand is spot on it is indeed Moray , the Spey Valley - lots of Forest trails. In fact I managed to get myself somewhat lost the other day, sometimes it's like an adventure trip - you don't know where you are going to come out.
The Hand : Thanks for bike comments and very interesting that you have a 'folding Mountain bike' . Must be great not to have to take the wheels of to load it into the car. I've got a small folding bike ( one of those old shoppers) which I use mainly use if security is an issue as I would hate to get the mountain bikes 'lifted' . Even thought I lock them you cannot always find a good 'securing point' . Only drawback to the 'old shopper' is that it is quite heavy.

You should try it as it's a great way of keeping reasonably fit and to burn calories .

    Forgot about this thread.

    Electric Downhill bike? That yours?

I think I'm going to convert my Cube to a 1x9 setup, I've had a falling out with my front derailleur.

    Re: Mountain Bike thread?

If I didn't bike out to Hobson Moor Quarry in the summer my road bike would be down to a single chainring, but there's a couple of climbs on that route I am not doing on a 52T front

Nice bit of kit that though jetfire - is the motor any use off road, or do you just use that to conserve energy when getting to/from the rough stuff?
