YoYo tech has a specail place on my credit card statement, they've taken £400 in the last week alone, i supose i have a problem.

But i appreachate the advise i'm given. Some of the staff are proper full time geeks, i find it hard enough to keep up with all the stuff i have to learn for work to keep fully boned up on my PC hardware. Yet i do think of myself as no mug.

Thats why i like yoyotech. You want a motherboard for a mobile CPU or something esoteric, they will have 1 or 2. Not a massive range compared to ebuyer or the like, but instore, and they are the 1 or 2 you'd want. The crap tends not too be stocked. Thats good.

Whilst in store i don't mind accepting i'm paying 5% over what i could get it for online, if i've gone through the trouble of doing a collect at store thing. That will piss me off.

Why? Because last time i spent £400, i must of taken a good 15 minuites of a sales clerk time, with questions about substitutes, and half the time just getting him to read the box for me (as leaving a total stranger with a valueable box, you don't turn your back!). Collect at store there is none of that. Picking costs are low. Yes i know the windmill street rent must be large, but still, this fee is anoying.

Get rid of it. Make it a % surcharge, give us some free peice of junk, just don't make us feal like mugs.

one thing i will say thats good about in store service, say you've just bought that new sata HDD, the cards just gone through, you realise that you need a SATA power adaptor. Well i got given one for free. Granted i have 'bizzare' spending priorities, and the new quad core is tempting, but thats the service i like, i will pay extra for, but will i use collect at store for no cost saving? Will i bollocks, i decide on the hardware in the shop, when i see how shiny it is using the time of the clerk i'm paying for.

The problem was sorted out quite a while before I posted this thread, so no outstanding issues here
