QuadGT No POST, POST code 90 - Again...

Was uploading some photos last night when my computer hard locked. I restarted it and it came up with no hard drive found, please inset system disk yada yada yada. So I restarted it again, this time it hangs at POST code 90.

Now this isn't the first time this has happened to my QuadGT. The last time I just kept hitting the reset button until the board finally turned over. That approach has been unsuccesful this time.

    Other things I've tried:
    Flip CMOS jumper and switch
    Remove CMOS batter
    Disconnect PSU and 24 pin
    Replace BIOS chip

None of those worked either. So now I'm kinda at a loss of what to try. Case is acrylic so the board can't ground out on it. PSU is fine (PSU seems to be the default scapegoat on the Abit forums.....) as the system was running for 2 months before this happened.

Anyway, I'm pretty pissed off because this is the second time this nonsense has happened.

    System specs are:
    Xeon 3070
    2g G.Skill HK PC6400
    X1900XT
    WD 80g & 320g
    Apevia 680w PSU
    Watercooled CPU, GPU, and NB

Bios is fried by the looks of things.

Nope certainly dont think its your PSU.

Time to RMA or contact Abit UK see if they have any QuadGT bios in stock replace yourself or get them to do it. Hopefully under warranty. Good luck.

DratUK - thanks for the reply, I think it's something more than the BIOS being fried though since I tried two seperate BIOS chips and neither would get it to POST.

Just for ****s and giggles I went home during lunch and popped in a 512mb 1.8v PC6400 DIMM from my folding rig and it still didn't post. I also hooked up XCLIO greatpower 500w PSU that was my old folding rig PSU and cofirmed it wasn't the PSU because the board still wouldn't POST

    RMA here I come
