Can you tell me if changing FSB to 201MHz results in mobo playing dead? I'm using 14 Official.

s_noopy - I don't think it should, but check the rest of this thread as other found they had to make a big jump to get the board to boot (i.e. 333)

I'm just playing with a E2160 in this board and I use bios 13 (its not listed on the website but its available to download through ftp) I find with bios 14 I need more volts for the same over clock and stress testing still seems the fail after a couple of hours. 13 just seems better for me.

For info, I'm running this E2160 at 5.15 by setting the following in bios

    fsb: 1400
    mult 9x
    mem: 800
    pci: 100

    vcore:1.425
    ram:2.2
    vtt:1.24
    nb:1.43

Temps are quite good cpu/cores = 24c/21c/21c idle, 46c/45c/45c load

I quite impressed so far, its just as fast as my E6700 @ 3.5 is in games (3dmark06 and actual gaming) but super pi is much slower: 20sec v 14secs.

going to let this cpu bed in a bit and then see what I can get out of it. I got my E6700 up to 4ghz by up'ing the vcore and nb both to 1.5 but temps were too way high for long term use.

ZuluZ0mbie - on the previous page there is my post with things I've tried. No luck with 201, 267, 333, 375 nor 400 which I was capable with 13 beta.

s_noopy - ah yes, its shocking isn't that the o/c'ing has got worse due to fixing defects.

I've stuck with the release version of 13 (I never used the beta, but everyone on here said it was the best for ages I gave it a go when 13 and 14 got released officially and 14 sucked)

Really don't know why there isn't a link to it from their website!

Heres the link to all the official released versions:

Ollie, dropping my command rate to 1T instanlt results in Orthos failure for me so I've left it at 2T. Other timings are at 4-4-4-12 as per spec for my RAM. It's only ver slightly overclocked as I'e left it in sync which means it's at 700MHz (it's rated at 675).

    Re: FP-IN9 BIOS 13. When?

3GHz. That's it. I've tried all sorts to get higher. Even 3.15GHz with slightly higher voltage and the machine boot loops.

nevermind. 3GHz out of a 1.8GHz chip is amazing!!

    Happy dayz

    Re: FP-IN9 BIOS 13. When?

I've been BIOS 15 for a while now and found it to have the same performance as BIOS 14. Can't go above FSB 333 (1333 MHz).

Still, that's fine by me. I like to overclock but I ain't being greedy

    Re: FP-IN9 BIOS 13. When?

for me it's useless. same as 14 and 15. can't overclock a bit without maxing the VTT Voltage. I stay at 13.
