    Unhappy Diesel Peugeot 306 Groaning!

My 306 has started making a loud groaning noise whenever I drive it above 40mph. The noise stops when I turn left. I recently had a new back box, exhaust mid section and 2 front tyres fitted. Can anybody see the problem here? I have had 2 mechanics verify the exhaust parts were fitted correctly and are not causing the problem but everyone is baffled by the turning left bit!

    The problem is it's a 306

But seriously, can you tell where the noise is coming from? It could be tracking, or maybe you've got a suspension problem and something is rubbing.

Isn't it about time we renamed 'The Pitstop' to '306 graveyard' or something?

Wheel bearing? Often change in note when you turn as the weight shifts off or on them.

Talking Re: Diesel Peugeot 306 Groaning!

    Hi,

Thanks for all your advice, I passed all your suggestions on and it turns out it was the rear drivers side wheel bearing. I've had it replaced and I'd forgotten how quiet the car could be! Thanks again
