I may be wrong but I would have thought that having a performance exhaust would cost more to insure than the next engine size up with a normal exhaust.

well i know quite a few insurance companys do charge more for alloys body kits exhaust ect

but lucky for kitty the insurance company didnt ask her about modifications ect so thats there fault

and everybody who knows there rights can verify that if they dont ask and they l8r pull it up that it dont matter as its the companys fault not ares that they didnt ask lol

do's that answer your question m8?

If you really believe that then kitty is gonna be in big trouble should she ever make a claim. Read the terms and conditions of the policy that she signed. You'll find is specifies that the policy holder HAS to inform the insurance company of ANY modifications to the vehicle or the policy can be nullified.

Not a good idea to mess with insurance companies, coz when you need them most they allways have you gripped firmly by the nackers

Actually, as far as I know, even if the company doesn't ask it's still your responsibility to submit it to them..

    Edit: ^^

Actually, its your responsibility to declare all mods on a car. If you don't, you're in danger of the insurance company invalidating the policy when you try to claim on it.

edit: lol, think he'll get the message with 3 of us telling him at the same time?

It is quite possible that under terms and conditions it says "by buying this policy you confirm that this is a UK spec car with no modifications" as many insurers don't actually insure modified cars.

Thats cool, as long as everyone is informed and you don't get any nasty surprises.

Not meaning to criticise but you ask what a 306 is like to everyone yet your GF has one and you say you drive it, therefore you should already know??

Also to reply to that question (as many already have) they are unreliable, badly built and old now. A Mk1 Focus will cost you very little, be larger, better built, more reliable, better to drive, safer and cheaper to insure. In that case why a 306, is it just for the looks? In that case that is vanity and not related to the questions you seemingly want to be answered. Seems to me you have asked a question and already have decided before hand that you are having the car. Looks like you are more trying to stir an arguement than get advice.

Oh yeah and yougf can get done by insurance companies for that.

Oh and while I think about it Focus' look better IMHO anyway.
