Re: Vapouriser, My Very First Watercooled PC........

I have had it from the horses mouth this week that the bitspower fittings are leaking from the internal o rings.

    This type
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=1529&subcat=

or the one with the double joint. ie anything with a swivel

It is also discussed in this thread

Re: Vapouriser, My Very First Watercooled PC........

    Sorry about that.
I would like to think that when you pay £10 per fitting you will get something that will never fail. Unfortunately this does not seam to be happening with BitsPower.
Good luck with the leak testing.

TBH sofar my experience with the BP fittings with inner O rings is NOT good. I have spent well into 3 figures (and some) on these fittings and, well 3 have leaked ,have caused 3 drains and lots of stress
ATM i do not recoomend them..........................................................
However I do 'seem' to have a solid loop now - will post pics when sure it is all OK

Re: Vapouriser, My Very First Watercooled PC........

April 2010 - Where on earth does the time go................

Well it's all been a transition for Vapouriser this year, failed SSD's leaking BP rotarys - new screen to ouput to - and now a new house and the move involved, however the old girl's braved it on through and has been running beautifully for the last couple of weeks when time has allowed. However having recently bought BF2BC (what a game!!) and trying to run it at full quality at 2560x1600 is proving a little less than smooth when the action gets busy on screen. SO I have convinced myself that its time for a little upgrade surgery for Vapouriser, commencing when I get home from work tonight!! (As long as Mrs Syd lets me )

Pictures and progress report to follow......... .............................................

KK managed to grab an hour or so this afternoon - so this is the progress sofar........................

    Vapouriser disconnected and ready:

    285 before extraction

    Drain

    Out he comes

    Vapouriser minus his heart

    Next stage soon
