I thought the case looked a little dark and did not show off my handy work.
So decided to add a little extra lighting.

Very nice! Its been an interesting read. System looks a beast =D

I've been looking at maybe doing something similar to what you have done here. Howmuch does it cost to get a watercooling system like that?

    Re: The 'STY' 4 4

If you consider the case and ALL the water cooling equipment (not including the my time to build)
You would have to pay £1000

Is it wrong I know that box is from ebuyer, just because of the tape used?

Looking forward to more pics, nice job so far!

Also, very nice card there, I desperately want to upgrade but I have neither the funds nor the necessity - I still struggle to push my 8800GT (the most graphic intensive game I play is MW2, which I can have on highest settings + AA at this resolution).

I'm enjoying the pictures, I like looking at pictures

    Re: The 'STY' 4 4

I have a lot more pictures.

I sold my 280GTX cards just before the 480's were released (big mistake) and I have been 'hanging around' for the price of the ATI cards to drop

    So more pictures

In the bubble wrap there was

In this box there was another box

I like the new EK packaging, it gives a quality feel to the product.
And the symbol reminds me of Transformers

Inside the box was all the fittings etc. (poor picture, sorry)

    The new block

and I also purchased the backing plate

    Re: The 'STY' 4 4

I wouldn't say it was a mistake to get the 5970. The 480s have underwhelmed me but I guess if you are watercooling the heat makes less of a problem. And I guess if you're spending £500 on a graphics card, the power draw doesn't bother you either.

I am very happy with the 5970.
IF nVidia had delivered any goods, then I would have stayed with them. As it is they have lost another customer.
When the next series of cards are released, I will reconsider my position and make a decision on performance and not loyalty.
